The theme of Homelessness Week 2014 is “Homelessness – We can’t afford to ignore it” Homelessness causes devastating personal harm, significantly impacts on the community and costs our economy. Homelessness is an issue that is not going away on its own. As a society we can’t afford to ignore it. This Seminar is for community workers and others who don’t work in a housing role but who may assist clients with housing issues as part of their service. We want to inform community workers how they can best support a client down the different paths to stable accommodation including support to access private rental. Featuring speakers from:
- Homelessness NSW
- Housing NSW
- Community Housing Provider
- Plus a panel of young people with a lived experience of homelessness
